MAISIE WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES DESIGN COLLABORATION
WITH INDEPENDENT FRENCH BRAND COPERNI

[Wednesday 17th November] Today actor and filmmaker Maisie Williams announces a design collaboration with Coperni; an independent French luxury fashion brand based in Paris and founded by designers Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer.
Inspired by Coperni’s iconic Swipe Bag, the Maisie Williams x Coperni collaboration presents two new designs: the Crossbody Swipe Bag in two colourways, Silver and Forest, and the Crossbody Mini Swipe Bag also in two colourways, Silver and Berry. The bags are designed with a removable crossbody strap and come with five customisable metal pins inspired by fruit labels.
Made in Italy from laser cut perforated vegan apple leather, the bags are produced by using fibers derived as residuals from apple waste and are naturally dried, free of chemicals. This is the first time Coperni have used an alternative leather material.
Maisie Williams comments —
Coperni and I have been quietly working on our collaboration for some time and I’m so proud and excited to finally share what we have created together! The bags are made from apple leather and I hope will inspire more people to both shop and produce with materials that contribute towards a more sustainable future.

Creatively, Maisie and Coperni were attracted to the representation of apples throughout pop culture and art and built references around folkloric tales. Similarly, they were inspired by textures from the natural world including tree moss and the forest floor, the most distinctive feature of a forest ecosystem.
